According to Salesforce's official Q1 FY2027 earnings announcement published May 27, 2026, the company posted revenue of $11.1 billion, up 13% year over year. Agentforce ARR reached $1.2 billion, up 205% year over year. Combined AI and Data 360 ARR reached $3.4 billion, up over 200% year over year. Agentic Work Units delivered to customers reached 3.8 billion, growing 111% quarter over quarter.

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, stated in the official release: "Agentic AI is the biggest growth opportunity for our customers, and for Salesforce. We're the number one Agentic CRM, with Agentforce now powering every Customer 360 application and helping tens of thousands of businesses across every industry transform into Agentic Enterprises."

What an Agentic Work Unit Actually Means

Most people reading these results will focus on the revenue number. The more important figure for businesses is the 3.8 billion Agentic Work Units.

An Agentic Work Unit is a completed task delivered by an AI agent. Not a chat message. An actual piece of work such as resolving a service case, processing an invoice, or routing an approval. When 3.8 billion of those tasks are completed in a single quarter, agentic AI is not a pilot feature. It is production infrastructure running inside businesses at scale.
